CRANBERRY AND GINGER TEA PUNCH

Ingredients

1 piece (washed ofcourse) fresh ginger

3 cups of cranberry-raspberry juice

1 ½ teaspoon of lemon juice

6 slices of lemon

6 slices of orange

Directions

  1. Make the ginger tea: Bring the ginger and 3 ½ cups of water to boil in a medium saucepan. Remove from the heat and steep for two hours. (Tea can be made up to a day ahead and refrigerated.)
  2. Mix the punch: Strain the tea into a large pitcher and stir in the remaining ingredients. Serve with ice.

 

MANGO-PEACH FIZZ

Ingredients

1 ripe mango

1 large ripe peach

½ cup unsweetened mango, peach, or orange juice

1 tablespoon sugar

peach-flavored carbonated water

cold club soda

Directions

In a blender, puree mango, peach, fruit juice (your choice mango peach or orange), and sugar (add more sugar if puree is too tart). Puree can be made up to a day ahead and refrigerated.

For each fizz, fill tall glasses with ice cubes. Pour two tablespoon each puree and peach-flavored carbonated water into each glass and top with cold club soda.

 

BERRY LEMONADE

Ingredients

8 cups water

2 cups sugar

3 cups fresh lemon juice

3 strips of lemon peel

1 cup of a kind of berry

1 cup of another kind of berry

ice cubes

club soda

Directions

Prepare sugar syrup: In a 4-quart saucepan, heat 4 cups water with sugar and lemon peel to boiling over high heat, stirring occasionally. Cover saucepan and boil 3 minutes. Remove saucepan from heat.

  1. In a blender, puree berries. Pour into medium-mesh sieve set over large bowl and press berry mixture with back of spoon to remove seeds. Throw away seeds.
  2. Remove peel from syrup. Stir syrup into into puree with lemon juice and remaining four cups of water. Makes 13 cups. Pour into large pitcher with tight-fitting lid. Cover and refrigerate until cold, at least 3 hours or up to 2 days. Serve with ice. Add club soda to taste. Garnish with berries and lemon slices.

 

ICED FRUIT PUNCH

Ingredients

6 cups assorted fruit juices (preferrably: mango, orange, pineapple, grape, cranberry, and lemon)

3 cups ginger ale

3 cups club soda

Directions

Make the ice: Freeze juice in ice trays. It can be stored up to a month.

  1. Make the punch: Fill a 236ml glass to the top with about ½ cup assorted flavored ice cubs, add ¼ cup ginger ale and ¼ cup club soda. Serve immediately. As the ice cubs melt, their flavors mingle to form a refreshing drink.

LEMON-ORANGE FIZZ

Ingredients

1 orange

1 lemon

½ cup lemon or orange

1 tablespoon sugar

orange-flavored carbonated water

cold club soda

VIRGIN BANANA PIÑA COLADA

Ingredients

2 ripe bananas

½ cup of fresh pineapple

¼ cup coconut milk

Directions

In a blender, pour in all ingredients. Mix well.
